CFA Society Vancouver, in partnership with Mink Learning, hosted another 2-Day Private Equity Bootcamp in Vancouver, Canada, on May 13th and 14th, 2026. Led by Steve Balaban, CFA, the program welcomed both new and returning participants for two engaging days of discussions, collaborative learning, and practical private equity case studies.
During the bootcamp, participants:
1. Explored private equity investment strategies, including direct investing, co-investments, and fund structures.
2. Worked through the complete investment process, from sourcing opportunities to value creation and successful exits.
3. Examined current market developments through practical examples and interactive discussions.
Since Mink Learning’s first Vancouver bootcamp in December, the local private equity community has continued to grow, bringing together finance professionals who learn from one another both inside and outside the classroom. The bootcamp closed with a dinner for both current and past participants, giving the group another chance to connect and build on the relationships formed in December.
