CFA Society Toronto, in collaboration with Mink Learning, hosted a comprehensive 2-Day Private Equity Bootcamp on December 10th and 11th, 2025. Led by Steve Balaban, CFA, the program combined interactive discussions, practical exercises, and real-world case studies to give participants a practitioner-focused perspective on private equity investing.
During the two-day program, attendees:
1. Worked through how private equity firms source, evaluate, and structure investment opportunities.
2. Explored due diligence processes and the factors that influence investment decisions.
3. Examined value creation strategies through practical examples drawn from real transactions.
Just one week later, many participants reunited at Mink Learning’s first Toronto Holiday Party, where 40–50 alumni from previous bootcamps gathered to reconnect and continue building the growing private equity community.
