CFA Society Toronto, in collaboration with Mink Learning, recently hosted a comprehensive 2-Day Private Equity Bootcamp, providing an excellent session on private equity from the perspectives of the investor, wealth manager and service provider. The course focused on a mixture of fund and direct private equity investments with a fun delivery that provided opportunities for attendees to expand their networks.
The program covered the full investment lifecycle. Key areas explored included:
- Understanding the role of alternative investments, key private equity trends, and investment structures, while also learning how to generate proprietary deal flow.
- Conducting thorough due diligence to assess investment opportunities and formulating effective due diligence questions in a real world scenario.
- Applying financial, operational, and strategic insights to build a value creation plan for a private business.
